Make the most of your fundraising efforts by producing higher profits with less financial risk.
How does it work?
Your organization sells “Sponsor Ads” that will be printed one one side of your bag to cover the cost of the bags. Your members sell the bags and your organization keeps 100% of the profits.
Special Note: A sponsorship is considered something akin to a donation. It has no tax repercussions for 501(C)3 non-profits and should be tax-deductible for the donor. However, advertising is considered Unrelated Business Income (UBI) and will be subject to UBI tax if it is not a one-time occurrence.
What do the bags look like?
Your artwork will be printed on one side of the bag. Ads/logos are printed on the other.
How much money can my organization make?
FOR EXAMPLE:
You order 500 bags with printing on both sides and the total cost is $1500 (Including screen charges, art layout fees, program administration and shipping costs), and you sell your ads at $250 each:
Sell 1 sponsorship ad ($250) – school pays $1250 – sell bags at $5 ea – total profit $1250
Sell 2 sponsorship ads ($500) – school pays $1000 – sell bags at $5 ea – total profit $1500
Sell 3 sponsorship ads ($750) – school pays $750 – sell bags at $5 ea – total profit $1750
Sell 4 sponsorship ads ($1000) – school pays $500 – sell bags at $5 ea – total profit $2000
Sell 5 sponsorship ads ($1250) – school pays $250 – sell bags at $5 ea – total profit $2250
Sell 6 sponsorship ads ($1500) – school pays $0 – sell bags at $5 ea – total profit $2500 (Note: $5 is a suggested price, your school may decide to sell for more -or less - it's up to you!)
How do we get businesses to buy sponsorships?
We provide you with Sponsorship Sheets to explain the opportunity to local businesses. Local banks, insurance agencies, grocery stores, parents' employers and school vendors are all great places to start.
Can a business purchase more than one ad?
Of course – and they’ll have twice as much print area!
How big is an ad spot?
The advertising area will vary per bag. With the example bag above, they will be approximately 3”w x 2” h
Does my organization have to order 500 bags?
You can order whatever quantity you want as long as you meet the minimum order requirements for that particular bag.
